Ready for a change? Start with One Big Thing

I provide project-based services to help you with that One Big Thing that requires some work and strategy. Whether you want to start saving for college, consolidate accounts, or explore investing I can help you get started. I provide professional, accessible support without high-pressure sales tactics or mind-boggling processes.

Taking the first step

If you’ve put off financial planning and find yourself here, it’s probably because knowing where to start can be a challenge. It’s common for people to feel:

  • Torn in many directions due to multiple money-related responsibilities.
  • Unsure of what kinds of questions to ask a Financial Planner.
  • Confused by the financial industry’s exclusive jargon.
  • Pressure to the point of procrastination or avoidance altogether.

As a Feminist Financial Planner, I’m here to tell you this: you don’t have to tackle everything all at once or figure it all out by the end of the day. Having a healthy and confident relationship with your money is a process. I’m here to support and advise you in determining your next right step.

One thing at a time

You may not have the capacity – time, budget, energy – to take on comprehensive or holistic planning right now. That doesn’t mean you cannot tackle one or two items weighing on your mind. I support the idea of progress over perfection.

Project-based planning means addressing a specific financial topic, of a limited scope. There are no minimum hours. Ongoing services may be an option but are not required. Specific project areas in which I have assisted clients include, but are not limited to:

  • Portfolio allocation and investment recommendations
  • Figuring out where to save (Roth IRA, 401(k), CD, Savings account, etc.)
  • Rolling over company retirement plans and consolidating assets
  • College planning
  • Roth conversions
  • Investment education

We can address the financial goals important to you now, freeing up time and energy for the other important things in your life.

Pricing

Because of systemic factors like patriarchy and money shaming, discussing finances can be challenging. I want us all to become more comfortable discussing money. For me, that means being transparent about my pricing.

I charge an hourly rate of $300. All circumstances are unique. Frequently projects range between three and six hours but this is highly situation-dependent. My complementary fit call allows us to discuss your needs and clarify the scope of the project so that I can provide a time/cost estimate.

I am a fee-only, hourly planner. That means I am compensated entirely by clients based on the amount of time I spend working with them. This time includes meetings, communications, research, and analysis I perform. I receive no commissions and I sell no products.

Ready to discover your One Big Thing? Take the first step by scheduling a free fit call to discuss your needs so we can determine if I am the appropriate person to help you.
